The race returns to its place of origin, the Refugio de El Pilar, and has already opened registrations.
The Transvulcania Kids-Junior 2024 already has a surname. SPAR La Palma will give its name to the race for the youngest runners, one of the most emblematic traditions of the race on the Isla Bonita, which also returns to the Refugio de El Pilar, its original location, as one of the highlights of this Transvulcania adidas TERREX.
The race for the youngest has found the support of a company that is committed to sport and healthy habits in the family environment, which is precisely what it promotes through its business philosophy and what the chain will implement in this first adventure, giving it the surname of the modality.
The Transvulcania Kids-Junior SPAR La Palma will be held, as a prelude to the bigger races, on Friday 10th May, starting at 4.30pm in the majestic Refugio de El Pilar, the place where historically many runners have been trained and have later been able to make the leap to the competitive races that make up the race in La Palma.
Registration for this Transvulcania Kids-Junior SPAR La Palma is now open free of charge through the website www.transvulcania.com and places will be limited.
In addition, SPAR La Palma will continue to be part of the other distances with its presence at the different refreshment posts as it has historically done in previous additions. The company has been one of the strongest and most faithful supporters on which the pillars of Transvulcania have historically been based.
The supermarket chain, present in all the municipalities of the island, has always stood out for its commitment to all the runners, providing all kinds of products at all the refreshment posts, as well as providing the necessary catering for the different points where the members of the organisation and the logistical support for this edition will be located.
On the other hand, and as a novelty in this Transvulcania 2024, Spar La Palma, will launch through its APP SparLink, a selection of exclusive discounts for runners from La Palma registered in each of its modalities. As a company, Spar La Palma reaffirms its commitment to sport and sustainable development on the island of La Palma.
José Barreto, General Manager of Spar La Palma, says: “We continue to support Transvulcania in its fourteenth edition. Behind us is a path of growth for the event, which we have accompanied since its beginnings, always with our role of supplying the event’s refreshment posts, perfectly designed and always at the highest level we can imagine for an event of this type. Our main focus is our people, the local runners, who have become increasingly interested in this event, although we are reflected in the very positive assessment made by those who visit us and who value very positively the level of the Transvulcania refreshment posts in relation to other events of this type held in other places; this motivates us, together with the organisation, to continue to maintain a high level of service in the food and hydration section in an event in which thousands of brave runners take part. Especially on this occasion, in which we are accompanying the Kids-Junior category in a very special way, in order to be able to provide food and drink to those brave youngsters who also take part in the race”.
For her part, Miriam Perestelo, the CEO of Sodepal, stressed that the Cabildo’s commitment is to continue promoting the different categories of the flagship race in La Palma. Precisely, she pointed out, promoting the one dedicated to the youngest and recovering its essence, also allows strengthening the pillars that make Transvulcania adidas Terrex recover its essence”.
