Transvulcania Kids-Junior opens registrations and presents SPAR La Palma as sponsor of the event

This endorsement of the food company from La Palma consolidates its support to the race aimed at the youngest, one of the most emblematic modalities of the Transvulcania to be held in the Refugio de El Pilar.

The Transvulcania Kids-Junior SPAR La Palma will be held next Friday, May 9, 2025, starting at 4:30 p.m., serving as a prelude to the main competitions. The Refugio de El Pilar, known for being the cradle of initiation of many runners who have later participated in competitive races of the Transvulcania, will once again be the setting for this event. Registrations for the Transvulcania Kids-Junior SPAR La Palma 2025 are now open free of charge through the official website www.transvulcania.com. Places will be limited and there will be several different categories, starting with those born from 2008 onwards.

In addition to its sponsorship of the Kids-Junior category, SPAR La Palma will continue to support the other distances of the Transvulcania, supplying products for the various refreshment points, as it has done in previous editions. The supermarket chain, present in all the municipalities of the island, stands out for its commitment to the runners, providing a wide variety of products and offering the necessary catering for the members of the organization and the logistical support of the event.

As every year, SPAR La Palma will launch through its SPARLink application a selection of exclusive discounts for runners registered in each of the modalities.

On the occasion of the celebration of the race, SPAR La Palma will activate a promotional campaign throughout the week in each of its points of sale, present in all municipalities of the island, this initiative reinforces the company’s commitment to sport and sustainable development on the island of La Palma.

The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, highlights the importance of continuing to encourage the children of the island to take part in the trail race par excellence with the aim of encouraging their interest and participation in sports activities, which not only promote healthy lifestyle habits but also a series of values, such as perseverance, sportsmanship and effort in the new generations.

Rodriguez also emphasizes the commitment of the Island Corporation to “return Transvulcania to the citizens of La Palma, something for which it is essential to have the support of local companies, which are a key part of the organization and development of the event”.

The SPAR La Palma Supermarkets network has declared: “SPAR La Palma is proud to continue walking with Transvulcania, especially in such a significant modality as the Kids-Junior. Betting on grassroots sport is betting on the future of our island. We know that not only the athletes of tomorrow are formed here, but also the values of effort, companionship and love for our environment. For this reason, we remain committed to this event and to all initiatives that promote healthy and sustainable growth in La Palma. This alliance not only has a sporting component, but also a social, educational and emotional one, which we reaffirm one more year, being our fifteenth edition.”
