Duncan Dhu will put the finishing touch to the 15th anniversary of Transvulcania adidas TERREX

The emblematic Spanish band will celebrate its 40th anniversary in Los Llanos de Aridane as the closing party of the most special edition of the mountain race in Los Llanos de Aridane.

The Transvulcania adidas TERREX will celebrate its fifteenth anniversary in style with a special concert by Duncan Dhu, one of the most representative groups of Spanish pop-rock. The performance, which will take place in the Plaza de España in Los Llanos de Aridane on Saturday 10 May at 22:00, will be the finishing touch to an edition marked by emotion, international participation and the reunion with the most legendary points of the route.

The presence of Duncan Dhu – led by Mikel Erentxun and accompanied by Ruben Caballero on guitar, Mikel Azpiroz, keyboards, Fernando Neira, bass, Karlos Arancegui, drums – is a firm commitment to offer a complete experience to runners, volunteers, local fans and visitors who every year turn the Transvulcania into a true celebration of sport in La Palma. A concert with a repertoire that will include all the classics of this great band.

The organisers have decided to pay tribute to the 15-year history of the race with a musical event, open to the public and designed as a moment of shared celebration after intense days of competition and emotion.

The concert will be held on Saturday night in the Plaza de España in Los Llanos de Aridane, with free admission. The event will not only be a recognition of the legacy of the race, but also an invitation to continue dreaming big, with music and sport as the protagonists of the rebirth of the Isla Bonita.

The Transvulcania adidas TERREX is organised by the Cabildo Insular de La Palma through the public company SODEPAL, with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Department of Tourism and Promotur with its brand ‘Islas Canarias Latitud de Vida’, as well as the companies 226ERS, Hotel H10 Taburiente Playa, Hotel La Palma Princess, Hotel Meliá La Palma, Fred. Olsen Express, Cicar, Spar La Palma, Coca-Cola, Libbys and Isola.
