The Marathon of the Transvulcania Adidas Terrex is dominated by Fran Anguita and Gemma Arenas

The race regains the spirits of the people of La Palma and returns that support in the form of a sporting spectacle

The Marathon of the Transvulcania Adidas Terrex crowned Fran Anguita and Gemma Arenas as the winners of the 2024 edition with récord in both races. The race lived up to the expectations surrounding it with the always respected start from the El Pilar Refuge and the finish line located in Puerto de Tazacorte under a festive atmosphere.

The race had a lot of appeal and a significant number of athletes capable of competing for victory. The toughness of the first part of the course gradually made a natural selection that ended with the challenging descent towards the finish line located at sea level.

In Tazacorte, amidst the applause of the fans, Fran Anguita (3h.44:25, Marathon Récord) made his way to become the winner of the Marathon of the Transvulcania Adidas Terrex 2024. Second was Peter Frano (3h.48:08), and climbing to the podium in third place was Milly Brito (3h.48:50).

The battle among the women was tough. The sporting sacrifice of Gemma Arenas earned her the first place with a time of 4h.35:01 (Marathon Record) ahead of Inés Astraín (4h.38:35), and Kim Schreiber (4h.44:38) who closed the top three positions.
