The Transvulcania organizing committee has announced that, for the 2027 edition, spectators will once again have access to several of the most iconic spots along the course, as part of an effort to enhance the experience for fans and bring the race and the elite athletes competing in it even closer to the public.<\/p>\n

Following the positive response to previous editions, designated viewing areas will once again be set up at iconic locations such as the Fuencaliente Lighthouse, the El Pila Mountain Hut, and the Roque de Los Muchachos. These areas will have special traffic and safety measures in place to allow access by private vehicles under regulated conditions. <\/p>\n

Faro de Fuencaliente<\/h4>\n

Access to the starting line at the Fuencaliente Lighthouse\u2014the starting point for the Ultramarathon and Half Marathon\u2014will be restricted to the Las Indias Road (LP-209), where traffic controls will be in place. Vehicles that pass through these checkpoints must remain in the area until the start of the Half Marathon has concluded, after which they must leave the area in the direction of Las Caletas. <\/p>\n

In addition, the section of LP-207 between Playa de Echentive and the lighthouse will feature a lane designated for parking, the use of which will be coordinated by the organizers and law enforcement agencies to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. The final stretch to the finish area must be covered on foot, and attendees are advised to wear reflective or luminous clothing. <\/p>\n

For safety reasons, the road leading down to the lighthouse from Las Caletas will be closed to general traffic and reserved exclusively for the official bus transport of runners.<\/p>\n

In addition, intermittent road closures will be implemented in the center of Los Canarios to facilitate the passage of runners during the early hours of the race.<\/p>\n

Refugio de El Pilar<\/h4>\n

At the El Pilar Shelter, another key point along the route, public access will also be permitted. In this case, private vehicle traffic will be restricted to the LP-301 highway from San Isidro, while access from El Paso will be provided via a shuttle service set up for the occasion. In addition, parking areas will be available at Hoya del Rehielo. Vehicles entering via this route must return by the same route, as traffic toward the Aridane Valley is not permitted during the restrictions. <\/p>\n

Roque de los Muchachos<\/h4>\n

The organization\u2019s efforts to bring athletes and the public together will also involve traffic management measures in the area around Roque de Los Muchachos. Access from Santa Cruz de La Palma will be permitted, but drivers will not be allowed to return via the same route once they have passed the Traffic Information Point at the Pico de La Nieve intersection. <\/p>\n

If you wish to return to Santa Cruz de La Palma via the same route, you must leave your car at Pico de La Nieve and take the shuttle buses provided for travel to and from El Roque de Los Muchachos. You will be permitted to continue on and descend via the Garaf\u00eda road. <\/p>\n

The finish line in Los Llanos de Aridane<\/h4>\n

Finally, in Los Llanos de Aridane, the finish line location, traffic restrictions will be in place on various streets to ensure safety and the smooth running of the event, given the large crowds expected.<\/p>\n

The organization recommends that all attendees plan their travel arrangements in advance and follow the instructions of security personnel and volunteers at all times to ensure they can enjoy the event safely.<\/p>\n
