The most explosive race of the Isla Bonita event kicks off a frenetic week full of sporting excitement.<\/h4>\n

The timer of the Transvulcania adidas TERREX starts tomorrow (May 8) with the first competitive race of the fifteenth edition of the Transvulcania adidas TERREX. The Vertical Climb, as explosive as spectacular, symbolizes the beginning of the activity within this special anniversary of the most international sporting event of La Palma and is an appointment in which all participants leave the best they have inside to be able to inscribe their name in the list of winners of the race. <\/p>\n

It is difficult to point out favorites among the runners participating in this edition because the Transvulcania adidas TERREX Vertical Climb is a race whose distance and route is open to many surprises as it has happened in previous editions. And is that the hard ramps that lead the runners from the zero elevation of the start in Puerto de Tazacorte to the finish line located in the Torre de El Time do not grant any respite to athletes. <\/p>\n

This year the range of favorites is more open than ever and among the male participants stand out the American David Sinclair, the Italian Luca del Pero, the French Boris Orlhac, the Argentinean Ezequiel Pauluzak and the local legion headed by Ivan Moreno, Arezki Habibi, Diego Diaz, Carlos Garcia, Kevin Gonzalez or Aythami Brito who wants to go one step further after his remarkable performance in the last edition.<\/p>\n

Moana Lilly Kehres is the great hope in the female participation. Moana already knows what it is to climb the podium and in her important evolution as a mountain athlete she wants to continue climbing steps and try to compete with runners of the level of Maude Mathys, Yuri Yoshizumi, Raquel Casares, Charlotte Cotton, Silvia Lara, Estela Guerra, Maria Benito or Idoia Perez. <\/p>\n

The Transvulcania adidas TERREX is organised by the Cabildo Insular de La Palma through the public company SODEPAL, with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Department of Tourism and Promotur with its brand \u2018Islas Canarias Latitud de Vida\u2019, as well as the companies 226ERS, Hotel H10 Taburiente Playa, Hotel La Palma Princess, Hotel Meli\u00e1 La Palma, Fred.
